The Slowworm’s Song is about an ex-soldier and recovering alcoholic who is attempting to reconnect with an estranged adult daughter and also reconciling with the memories he has of his role during The Troubles in Ireland. I was tasked with depicting the main character ruminating in his forest of memories, which was done in a mix of inking, silkscreen textures and digital compilation.
