BARTENDER POSITION
Our Mission:
The Society of Illustrators’ mission is to promote the art of illustration, to appreciate its history and evolving
nature through exhibitions, lectures, and education, and to contribute the service of its members to the
welfare of the community at large.
Position Details and Qualifications:
The Society is seeking a part-time BARTENDER to work a set schedule 3-4 days a week plus special
events. This is great for students or anyone looking for part-time work. This position will work directly with
the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
● Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times. Provide quick, courteous, and efficient
service to customers
● Setup and breakdown of bar/restaurant area
● Making cocktails and coffee drinks
● Processing payments, working a POS
● Setup and breakdown of events
● Restocking bar as needed
● Comfortable talking about the art on display with the guests and artists
● Able to lift large tables and objects
● Cleaning bar area
● Develop a relationship with regulars
● Work with a sense of urgency
● Ok with stairs
● Perform other duties as needed
Hours: Wednesday-Saturday from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm plus evening events
Rate of Pay: $20 hr + Tips
Experience: 1+ years restaurant/bar experience preferred. Food Handlers license a plus, or willing to
acquire one.

business casual with occasional event and business attire.
