Pink Toile Suit
Medium: Watercolor

This illustration was created to show how to render a patterned men’s suit. I began with an orange watercolor wash with the figure masked with Frisket film. Then I added a dark skin tone in order to contrast with the white suit. When that was done, I added mauve and pink shadows and folds. Lastly, I added toile patterns in a bolder pink creating a comparison between the masculine suit and the “feminine” toile fabric.
