Virtual Saturday Stories featuring illustrator Zoey Abbott

June 15 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Presented monthly, Saturday Stories invites guest illustrators to lead children and their adult companions in a read-aloud workshop related to the wide range of materials and processes that illustrators use to create their picture books.

Join author/illustrator Zoey Abbott for a talk about her work/process and a reading of her most recent book, BANANA, a quirky and hilarious picture book about parental distraction and a daughter’s clever solution that will delight readers of all ages! Gather your art materials (pencils, crayons, paint or markers) and have fun reimagining what a banana (or any other random object) could be. “Don’t just let a banana be a banana! “ Downloadable PDF with registration.

Zoey will also do an ink pen demo. If you would like to work along with her, collect a handful of sticks of various sizes from your neighborhood. Have a pot of india ink or diluted paint, a cup of clean water and paper towels handy as well. For more about Zoey: zoeyabbott.com
