I was asked to create an illustration or the National Labor Federation’s 2023 Calendar. My illustration is for the month of March under the topic, “Women Lead Working Communities Forward.” This illustration was in collaboration and in support of the Eastern Service Workers Association (ESWA) based in Dorchester, MA. ESWA helps support low-income service workers organize themselves to advocate for and support each other. I was asked to create an illustration that represented hope, dignity, strength, and advocacy. I was honored to be able to photograph ESWA members to use as reference for this illustration.
