The Magnificence of MFK Fisher
Medium: Acrylic paint on gessoed paper.

The initial idea was to create a portrait of M.F.K. Fisher with a background of food (since she was a food writer). The sketches I did in that direction seemed too formal. While working on more sketches, the lettuce leaves as her collar suddenly appeared as the synthesis of the several elements I had to take account of for the portrait.
