When I sketch other commuters in the subway I make remarkable encounters that are distinctive for my personal experience of living in New York as a Swiss artist. The cramped subway car is an interesting challenge that requires different approaches to find the right setting for each story. Another essence is a reduced and clean graphical language and a clear rhythm.
