“runaways” is part of an ongoing project in which I explore the concept of telling lesbian and sapphic stories that, because of intolerance, have been historically hidden, erased, or simply never told. This piece intends to tell the story of two women in love who run away from something without specifying what it could be, thus leaving room for the viewer to complete the story in their imagination. The vintage-inspired style is used here to add to the concept and its intention as well as to evoke a nostalgic feeling.
