Founded by John Houseman, the company tours productions of Shakespeare and other classics, as well as new plays and adaptations, across the U.S. The illustration is Patti LuPone as Lady Teazle in a production of Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL in 1972, the company’s inaugural season.
