Asian Americans Are Finally Getting the Heroes We Deserve
Medium: Ink, Acrylic, Photoshop

This accompanied an opinion piece by Jeff Yang about Asian American representation in the media having a watershed moment this year. I wanted to center this piece around visibility; who is made visible by such media, and what does it mean to be visible? This piece doubles as a portrait of Yueh Chien, a family friend who went missing this same year who I wanted the world to see.

Client: The New York Times
Art Director: Claire Merchlinsky
