Virtual Saturday Stories featuring Illustrator Bryan Collier

January 20 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Presented monthly, Saturday Stories invites guest illustrators to lead children and their adult companions in a read-aloud workshop related to the wide range of materials and processes that illustrators use to create their picture books.

Virtually meet Bryan Collier, Caldecott Honor and multi award winning illustrator, live from his studio in the Hudson Valley, New York. Bryan will be featuring his book We Are Here, a beautiful, lyrical celebration of Black joy and accomplishment through history, written by talented author, Tami Charles. Bryan will share a behind the scenes look at his incredible collage illustrations, read his book and then do a live- drawing workshop. Participants draw along using pencil and coloring pencils, markers or paints and scissors to create a portrait collage.

Good for all ages 5 and up.
