Virtual Saturday Stories featuring multi award winning British author and illustrator Ed Vere

Presented monthly, Saturday Stories invites guest illustrators to lead children and their adult companions in a read-aloud workshop related to the wide range of materials and processes that illustrators use to create their picture books.

Do you know anyone who loves to draw? Join New York Times best-selling author and illustrator Ed Vere in his art studio in the UK, for an art and storytelling session. Ed will read his book ’The Artist’ –  inspiring creative confidence in young artists everywhere . . . celebrating what it means to be an artist, knowing that mistakes are a part of making art and that the world is a joyful, beautiful place, full of wonders! Have your pencils and paper ready to draw along as Ed shows us how he draws the ‘Artist’ in his book. Ed Vere is a multi award winning and New York Times bestselling writer and illustrator of picture books. He is a visual literacy advocate at The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education, UK and is the artist in residence at the Born Free Foundation. His artwork for ‘The Artist’, was a jury selection for the Society of Illustrators, Original Art Exhibition, Best in Picture Books 2023.
