Virtual Saturday Stories with Acclaimed Illustrator Jacob Grant

June 21 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Presented monthly, Saturday Stories invites guest illustrators to lead children and their adult companions in a read-aloud workshop related to the wide range of materials and processes that illustrators use to create their picture books.

Join author and illustrator, Jacob Grant in his Chicago art studio for a behind the scenes look at how he creates his books, followed by a story reading and draw-along workshop featuring his new book, Umami! For the workshop, attendees will need oil pastels, color pencils, and a space they can be messy. Using these supplies, Jacob will demonstrate how he made the art for Umami, and then lead the group in making monoprint characters of their own.

All ages 5 and up are welcome!
