VENDOR FAQs

Where does this event take place?
The Fair will take place at the Society’s headquarters at 128 East 63rd Street between Lexington and Park Avenues.

What is the criteria for becoming a vendor at the Holiday Craft Fair?
Vendors must be selling physical 3D products, preferably handmade. AI Generated works are prohibited. Products should be Safe For Work and suitable for children. Fanart and works including elements from pre-existing IPs are highly discouraged. 3D products are a must. This fair is separate from our MoCCA Arts Festival. The Holiday Craft Fair is geared toward showcasing craft, design, and handmade work, rather than comics, prints, or zines. Items do not need to be holiday-themed, but we are specifically seeking artists and makers with a craft focus, including those who create:

    • Ceramics
    • Jewelry
    • Apparel (e.g. handmade, screenprinted, limited run)
    • Throw blankets
    • Vinyl figures
    • Bags
    • Candles
    • Stuffed plush toys
    • Felted goods

 

How do I become a vendor?
Online applications may be filled out here! They will close on August 1st. Acceptance or rejection notifications will be sent in late August. An application does not guarantee acceptance.

How accessible is the Fair?
Unfortunately the Society’s building does not have an elevator and certain areas of the Fair are only accessible via stairs. Bathrooms are also only accessible via stairs.

What size are the tables?
Tables are 4 feet by 30 inches. They will be covered with a red tablecloth. Each table will have two chairs.

What are the prices of tables?
Regular 4ft table: $170.00
SI Members/Undergraduate Students: $120.00

Can I share my table with another artist?
Each table may have up to two exhibitors sharing the space. This artist must be specified in your application.

Is there access to wifi ?
Every vendor will have access to wifi.

Can I hang material on the wall?
No, the fair will take place in the Society’s galleries and exhibits will be hanging on the walls. You are allowed to use art display grids, cases and signage as long as it does not effect surrounding displays or obscure the red tablecloth.

When will vendor load-in take place?
Vendors can set up on Friday, December 5th 4-7pm and Saturday, December 6th 9am-10am before the Craft Fair begins.

What if I need to cancel my table?
Table payments must be made by September 29th 2025. After which all payments are non-refundable. Tables are non transferable and must require written approval from SOI.

Is there admission for guests?
Yes, there will be an admission price for the public to visit the Fair. In addition to vendors, guests will enjoy three floors of galleries, live music performances, and children’s book readings. More on this soon!

Who sponsors this event?
The Holiday Craft Fair is operated by the Society of Illustrators and sponsored by East Midtown Partnership, who provides festive music and activities.
