I was approached by Evan Sult to do a series of illustrations for the Riverfront Times’ Best Of annual, with the prompt to incorporate the idea of “surviving and thriving” post-COVID and include botanicals. Evan has always been great about giving me freedom in my concepts and process, and I decided to go full-throttle on this set with isometric design and spot-color inspired by print-making. Using digital tools and a traditional process and mindset, I was able to express myself here in exciting new ways.
