Jill Bossert is the author of Mark English; John La Gatta: An Artist’s Life; and Pro-Illustration, the three-volume series from the masters of editorial, advertising, and children’s book illustration. She has been editor of the last thirteen editions of the Society of Illustrators Annual of American Illustration. As Associate Publisher for Madison Square Press, her award-winning projects included Humor 1 and Humor 2, and The New Illustration. Her work has been published in such arts magazines as American Art Review, Graphis, Idea, and Smock. She received her Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University, where she was the Philip Guston Fellow.
