Bradshaw Crandell (1896–1966) took over the Cosmopolitan cover when Harrison Fisher retired. For a period of twelve years in the thirties and forties, he did a continuing series of beautiful girls’ heads in pastel for their monthly covers. Many top Hollywood stars and young starlets of that time were his models.
