$10.00 – $35.00The Society of Illustrators welcomes award winning illustrator Hyewon Yum for a fun look at how she creates her illustrations, a book reading and workshop featuring her book Not Perfect written by Maya Myers! This is their second book starring Dot, and is an endearing story about embracing the mistakes that let us build new skills. During the workshop participants will draw portraits of themselves or of someone they admire most using collage!
All art materials and a signed copy of the book are included. Good for ages 5 and up.
$35 includes admission and workshop (including signed book and art supplies) for 1 adult + 1 child. One book per family. Additional siblings are $10/each.
Hyewon Yum is an author and illustrator of many picture books, including Lion Needs A Haircut, Grandpa Across the Ocean. Her book, Saturday is Swimming Day is named as a Charlotte Zolotow award honor and Mom, It’s my first day of Kindergarten! received Ezra Jack Keats New Illustrator award. She also illustrated Not Little, Luli and the Language of Tea and many more. Hyewon was born and grew up in Seoul, Korea. Now she lives in Brooklyn, New York with her family.
