Costumed Sketch Night at the Society

Artists of all skill levels are invited for figure drawing at the Society of Illustrators. This special sketch night, hosted by A.E. Kieran, will be a showcase of the design work of The Ballgown Boy, aka Hisham Dawoud. Hisham studied design at VCU Qatar and has worked for Marchesa and Ralph Rucci. He is now an independent designer who makes looks for some of the world’s biggest drag queens. He has worked on gowns worn to the Oscars as well as multiple looks featured on RuPauls Drag Race and DragRace France.
The work will be modeled by Hisham himself and fellow Arab queen Anya Kneez.
Chairs and sketch boards will be provided, but artists should come prepared with their own art materials. Guests are also invited to enjoy their favorite cocktail at our 128 Bar & Bistro.
Please note, doors for this event will open at 6:00pm. No outside food or drink.
