The Society of Illustrators is pleased to welcome an exhibit of art celebrating 50 year’s of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair’s Illustrators Exhibition!
For more than half a century the Bologna Children’s Book Fair has been the main location, on a global level, in which to learn about the latest trends in illustration and to discover new talents. Significant space and priority is given to the professional category of illustrators, who can find at the Fair in Bologna and during the international tour during the months that follow, support and encouragement to develop their work and opportunities to meet with other operators in the publishing market and other sectors.
The Illustrators Exhibition is a showcase for the latest trends in illustration and talent spotting new artists held during the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Launched in 1967, the Exhibition displays a wide selection of artists from different countries offering young emerging talents tangible professional opportunities.
The Society presents a selection of work from this prestigious exhibit. We will be celebrating the exhibit on November 8th during the Opening Reception for The Original Art: Celebrating the Fine Art of Children’s Book Illustration.
