Virtual Saturday Stories featuring Sergio Ruzzier
October 22, 2022 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Presented monthly, Saturday Stories invites guest illustrators to lead children and their adult companions in a read-aloud workshop related to the wide range of materials and processes that illustrators use to create their picture books.
Meet incomparable award – winning author and illustrator Sergio Ruzzier in his art studio in Italy! After reading No! Said Custard the Squirrel , Sergio will show how he works on his drawings: sketch, pencil drawing, ink (dip pen), and watercolor. Then he will encourage drawing on paper with any tools you like to use. Participants will create two animal characters; dress them as plainly or crazily as they want; naming them with the weirdest or the most normal names; and show them in a few situations in which one character won’t leave the other alone! This inspiring and whimsical workshop is good for all ages 5 and up. For more about Sergio http://www.ruzzier.com/
