Saturday Stories: Illustrator-led Workshops for Children & Families
Laura Vaccaro Seeger, author and illustrator of 20 picture books, will read from her new book, WHY?, and discuss her journey as an artist, writer, and illustrator. WHY? is a story about a little curious rabbit and his wise friend, a bear, who usually, but not always, has all the answers. Just like rabbit, everyone has lots of questions swirling around in their mind. Everyone wonders why about something! Laura will guide participants through the process of creating their own “Why” illustration using techniques such as painting, collage, texturing, as well as exploring the concept of visual literacy–telling a story through pictures–as kids create their own masterpieces!
Good for all ages 4 and up!
$25 covers admission and workshop for 1 adult + 1 child. Additional children are $10/each.
While you’re here, visit our dining room and patio for lunch or refreshments. Open 11:00am – 3:00pm.
