SATURDAY PICTURE BOOK SPOTLIGHT featuring author and illustrator Isabel Roxas

March 4 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

$10.00 – $35.00

Join acclaimed illustrator Isabel Roxas as she reads chapters from her graphic novel The Adventures of Team Pom: Squid Happens. She will then give you a behind-the-scenes look on how she wrote and illustrated this funny, madcap tale of friendship between Ruby, Roberta, Agnes and a lonely, bao-loving squid named Cyd. Did you know that Giant Squid have eyeballs the size of your head? Learn fun facts about cephalopods and how to draw  them. Participants will share the fun of imagining a new character: how they look, where they live and what makes them come alive, during her guided drawing and writing workshop.

All materials and a personalized copy of the graphic novel are included for each family.

Good for all ages 5 and up.

$35 includes admission and workshop (including signed book and art supplies)  for 1 adult + 1 child.  Additional siblings are $10/each.
