Join us for this exciting Children’s Program at the Society of Illustrators. All art materials and a personalized copy of the picture book are included for each family.

Meet Caldecott award winning author and illustrator Elisha Cooper with his book Yes & No. A timeless tale about a friendship between a puppy and a cat and their day together (with a surprise twist at the end). Elisha will show and tell participants how he creates his amazing books. Following his presentation and book reading he will lead an informative and inspiring drawing workshop. “This workshop will change your life.

Good for all ages 5 and up.

Elisha Cooper received a Caldecott Honor in 2018 for Big Cat, Little Cat, and his following book River won the 2020 Robin Smith Picture Book Prize. One of his earlier books, Dance!, was a New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Book of the Year, and Beach won the Society of Illustrators Gold Medal. In 2016 he was awarded a Sendak Fellowship.He has written twenty-five books, mostly for children, and also books for adults. Elisha lives with his wife, daughters, and cats in New York City.
