Virtual Saturday Stories: Monthly illustrator-led workshops for children & families: Featured Artist Sara Varon

June 25 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Presented monthly, Saturday Stories invites guest illustrators to lead children and their adult companions in a read-aloud Zoom workshop related to the wide range of materials and processes that illustrators use to create their picture books.

Join author and illustrator Sara Varon from her studio in Chicago, as she reads from her book New Shoes. Afterwards, she’ll show you how she created the animal characters in New Shoes and give you the tools to create your own animal characters.
For this workshop you will need paper (regular photocopy paper will do,) markers, and colored pencils.
Good for all ages 5 and up.

This program is free to attend. Thank you to the Cornelia T. Bailey Foundation for supporting this event.
