Presented monthly, Saturday Stories invites guest illustrators to lead children and their adult companions in a read-aloud Zoom workshop related to the wide range of materials and processes that illustrators use to create their picture books.
Join vibrant and dynamic author and illustrator, Charles George Esperanza as he shares his behind the scenes of how he creates his amazing artwork. He will present a live workshop drawing inspiration from his brand new book “Boogie Boogie, Y’all. Participants will create a graffiti style name piece similar to how graffiti artists create their signature name designs in their sketchbooks, before placing them on a wall. Create your graffiti piece based on your name, nickname or initials by mimicking the letters on the style sheet.
For this workshop you will need the graffiti style sheet (found clicking the button below), some pencils, some markers, and paper.
Good for all ages 5 and up.
