MoCCA Arts Fest Day 1

MoCCA Arts Festival­ is New York City’s largest independent comics and cartoon art festival. This multimedia event draws over 5,000 attendees and 400 exhibiting artists that exemplify the limitless aesthetic and social power of comics and cartooning.

During MoCCA Arts Festival, exhibitors display and sell their work at Metropolitan Pavilion (125 West 18th St.) and award-winning artists conduct lectures and panel discussions at the SVA Flatiron Gallery (133 West 21st St.), mere steps away. Seminars are given over two days featuring creators who have made an impact on the field. 2023 Featured Guests include: Maia Kobabe, Noah Van Sciver, Barbara Brandon-Croft, Drew Friedman, Jerry Craft, Miriam Katin, Colleen Doran, Toma Vagner, and more to come.

Exhibitors are eligible to enter the MoCCA Arts Festival Awards of Excellence, an award given out to recognize the most outstanding works on view at the Festival. Artists winning this award will be acknowledged on our website and receive a tablet donated by Wacom Technologies. For more information about the event, please visit: moccafest.org. 

This event takes place at Metropolitan Pavilion located at 125 West 18th St. The Society of Illustrators will be closed to visitors from Friday, March 31 – Sunday, April 2.
