About the Speakers
Armando Veve (b. 1989) is an illustrator working in Philadelphia. His drawings have been recognized by American Illustration, Communication Arts, Spectrum, and the Society of Illustrators in NY. He was named an ADC Young Gun by The One Club for Creativity and selected to the Forbes 30 under 30 list.
Tara Anand is an illustrator and visual artist from Bombay, India based in New York City. Her work tends to draw from books, history and her surroundings and she enjoys working with female-driven narratives. She has worked primarily on editorial and children’s book projects.
Vanilla Chi is a Chinese freelance illustrator/designer/independent publisher, who is currently based in New York City. Her work is influenced by a ‘desire for beautiful things’, and her belief that aesthetic systems have the power to transform the world. Tragedies and nostalgia are always the main themes in her works. She worked for The New York Times, VICE, It’s Nice That, Olympic, Kiblind, and others in advertising, publishing, packaging, etc.
