Every Tuesday Of The Month Sketching nudes is nothing new at the Society. The sketch group’s years of traditional sessions have been forever changed as new age music and jazz become the benchmark for new drawing groups that are forming. The study sessions are now looser as artists and non-artists alike turn out to enjoy the Jazz-Age salon ambience. Many of the models are known for their talents in burlesque shows on the Lower East Side and others are performance artists, dancers and circus people. Not all the sketchers are Society members. The sessions are open to the public, costing $12 to get in or $15 to sketch on Tuesdays and $20.00 on Thursdays. |
