2008-2009 Traveling Exhibition from the 50th Annual

An annual tour of 40 original works selected from the Society’s Annual Exhibition has been offered to colleges for the past 27 years. These 40 works are a representative sample of the best in the six categories of the Annual: Sequential, Editorial, Book, Advertising, Institutional and Uncommissioned. Some of this year’s featured artists include Brad Holland, Sterling Hundley, Mike Benny, Jody Hewgill, Yuko Shimizu and Anita Kunz. Of the artists in each show, some are familiar and some are the rising stars of tomorrow.

An Historical Look at Visual Communication



The Society of Illustrators is pleased to invite your institution to host this comprehensive exhibition of historical illustration. Included are 50 original masterworks from the Permanent Collection of the Society of Illustrators Museum of American Illustration. Approximately five each from the decades 1890 - 2000. This is a show of art that spans the 20th Century and demonstrates the changing role of the illustrator.
